Don’t let the small size of this place fool you. They prepare a range of food from the southern regions of India, with a particular fondness for food from Andhra Pradesh.
Their food is very, very good; their service is friendly, and; their prices are very fair. They have a range of dishes for every taste, including a wide selection both meat and vegetarian options. Their curries are wonderful but their real specialty is biryani. We’ve had several and they are all spectacular. We will be back as often as we are out that way, and will add dishes to the gallery as we can. Stay tuned!
Chicken Vijayawada Biryani
This biryani has cultural significance in the state of Anhra Pradesh, where the city of Vijayawada is located. The marinade on the chicken is a blend of lemon juice and Indian spices. This is a meal in itself.
Goat Avakai Biryani
Avakai is another specialty of Andhra Pradesh. It is a spicy mango pickle that is a particularly good pairing with goat and rice. The goat in this biryani melted in our mouths.
Chicken Andhra Curry
Like so many of Hyderabad Spices dishes, this one hails from Andhra Pradesh. Like so much of the cuisine from this region this dish is tangy, hot and spicy. Or put another way - it's delicious!
Butter Naan
No visit to a South Asian restaurant is complete without devouring an order of Naan. Good naan is a real treat, and Hyderabad's is very good. You can order regular, garlic or butter naan. Perfect for scooping up all that delicious curry sauce!
