An absolutely spectacular wagyu beef stewed gently with onion, enoki mushrooms and served with a perfectly poached egg for dipping (not pictured here). The best sukiyaki we've ever had - anywhere!

This delicately flavoured dish was perfectly conceived. The uni complemented the baby shrimp perfectly. We think even people who shy away from uni would like this. And the artistry of the plating (the bowl itself is everything) was a feast for the eyes.

The generous servings of two different parts of the tuna fish made for a mouth watering contrast. The Maguro was delicious; the Toro was sublime!

This squid was some of the most unique - both in terms of texture and taste - that we've ever had. Fresh and delicious.

We've never had Scottish Ocean Trout before. Apparently the legit version (like this) is only caught by anglers. It is highly prized for its mouth feel and rich flavour - and we can see why. Just fabulous.

We applauded when this luscious Unagi made an appearance, and mentioned that it's one of our favourites. Later our server discreetly slipped a second one to us - because it's our favourite. So classy!
